You write to us
Use the form below or email us. A few lines are enough: what you would like to sort out, and whether it is for you or for a parent. You do not need to mention amounts or account numbers.
Blue Rain Harbor helps people in Japan put the practical and the personal sides of 終活 in order: what you own, who should know where it is, what you want from medical care, and how your family hears about it. We guide the thinking and the gathering of information. Licensed professionals handle the legal, tax and registration steps.
Most people do not sit down one afternoon and finish their 終活. They fill in a page of an ending note, remember a bank account they have not mentioned to anyone, or wonder how to raise the subject with a daughter. Planning ahead is not about dwelling on endings. It is about leaving fewer questions behind.
That is why we work in small pieces. You can come with one topic, such as the accounts on your phone, or with a half-filled notebook and a list of worries. We help you sort which parts you can handle yourself and which need a notary, lawyer, scrivener or tax accountant.
You set the pace. If you would rather think it over after the first conversation, that is a perfectly good outcome.
Write to UsWe help you build one readable list of what you own and owe: bank and securities accounts, property, insurance, pensions, loans. We also help you prepare questions for the tax accountant, scrivener or lawyer who will handle the formal side.
Learn more about Estate and Asset OverviewThe notebook walks you through 遺言 (wills) and エンディングノート (ending notes) topics. A legal will is made with a notary, lawyer or scrivener; we help you think through what you want to say before you meet them.
Learn more about Wills and the 終活手帳 NotebookPhones, online banks, photo clouds and subscriptions leave no paper trail. We help you list them and decide what should happen to each. We never hold or store your passwords.
Learn more about Digital LegacyPlans work better when the family has heard them. We offer opening lines, a simple meeting agenda and a way to keep a shared record, so the first conversation is easier to start.
Learn more about Family DialogueWrite down what matters to you about treatment and care (人生会議) and whom you would want involved. These notes help your family and doctors understand you; they are not medical advice.
Learn more about Advance Care PlanningFuneral style, grave or memorial preferences, who should be told. Short notes now spare relatives a long list of guesses later. Arrangements themselves are made with a funeral provider.
Learn more about Funeral and Memorial WishesInsurance policies, property papers, pension records, a list of who to contact. We help you decide what to gather and where the family should look, without copying sensitive documents to us.
Learn more about Document OrganisationFour questions, answered in your browser only. Nothing is sent to us, and the result is a rough pointer to where to start, not an assessment of your situation.
Have you listed your bank accounts, securities, insurance and other assets in one place?
Have you put your wishes about your property in writing (a will, 遺言書, or similar)?
Have you talked with your family about your wishes for later life and for funeral and memorial arrangements?
Have you written down what you want from medical and nursing care, or told someone you trust?
There are no client stories on this page, because we would rather describe the process than quote people. Here is how it normally goes, in four steps.
Use the form below or email us. A few lines are enough: what you would like to sort out, and whether it is for you or for a parent. You do not need to mention amounts or account numbers.
We reply by email to agree a time for the free initial conversation, by phone or video, or in person by arrangement. We will tell you in advance who you will be speaking with.
We go through which topic guide fits, what you could do on your own, and which steps belong to a notary, lawyer, scrivener, tax accountant or doctor. You leave with a short list of next steps.
Nothing has to be agreed in the first conversation. If you would like continued help, we put the scope and the fee in writing before anything starts. No contract is made through this website.
These are the kinds of professionals who handle the legal, tax, registration and medical parts of 終活 in Japan. Blue Rain Harbor is not one of them. We do not employ them, we have no partnership with any named firm, and we do not claim their qualifications. We help you work out which of them you actually need, and what to bring when you meet them.
Write a few lines about what you would like to sort out. We will reply by email to arrange a time. Please do not put passwords, account numbers, My Number or medical details in this first message.
Most people have two or three of these on their mind at once. Pick the one that nags at you most, or write to us and we will help you choose a starting point.
